When we developed SingleRoots, we planned to be a site that dealt with every aspect of a single adult’s life BUT dating. We just felt like it was all we ever heard about—at church, from friends and family, in books. It seemed that dating and marriage was the only part of our lives that people discussed.
So we decided on our tagline: “You’re more than your dating life.” And we set about laying a foundation that challenged all of those other (often overlooked) parts of us—ministry, stewardship, spiritual growth, career, and family and friends.
We also had a plan for a separate dating site in the works. We spent time doing research and seeing that there wasn’t a lot of information out there that really delved into the world of online Christian dating. Most of the reviews that we found were impersonal and biased, and we thought that this was an area where we definitely could make some contributions for the better.
But then, somewhere along the way, we threw out a discussion or two on SingleRoots about dating and marriage, and we saw our traffic blow up. We couldn’t deny the fact that even though we’ve heard numerous talks about dating and marriage, it’s not a dead horse. In fact, it’s something that a lot of us still want to talk about.
So, after a lot of prayer and consideration, we decided to merge our plans.
Beginning today, you’ll find a link to a “Christian Dating HQ” at the top of the navigation bar. We’ve reviewed the Best Christian Dating Sites as well as Free Christian Dating Sites, and we’re not done. We’ll add more sites to our list eventually, update the reviews monthly, as well as add specific reviews for each individual site. Because your feedback continues to be important to us, we will conduct surveys from time to time and use your experiences in the online dating world to help the Best Christian Dating Sites and Free Christian Dating Sites reviews be as thorough as they can be. We want our Christian Dating HQ to be a trusted resource for Christian singles when it comes to figuring out the world of online dating.
We still stand beside our tagline that we are more than our dating lives. That’s why this will only be one aspect of our site, just like it’s only one aspect of our lives. We’ll still be business as usual with daily posts about all of the other topics that we struggle with.
But when it comes to Christian dating advice, we’ll have something to say about that matter, too.
