We are a community. And in community, people are transparent and authentic. So, we’re going to keep it real. There are peaks and valleys to this single life. You will hear others’ stories and struggles. It is our prayer that the Holy Spirit will use them to encourage and inspire you in your own pilgrimage.
We also hope that this will be a place of information. We stand firm in our conviction that the first place we should be “rooted” is in the local church. There is no substitution for that involvement. We know that it can be difficult; we, too, have worked hard to find our place. But it is worth fighting for. Our relationship with Christ compels us to fight for it.
That said, we also want this site to be a place where you learn about other ways you can live a rooted and connected life wherever you are. Therefore, we will strive to provide you with as much information as we can about other ministries, Christian non-profits, and volunteer opportunities so that you are without excuse. Our childhood hero, G.I. Joe, says that knowing is half the battle. It’s amazing what wisdom comes from cartoons…
And yes, we’re going to talk about dating, too. We want to learn how to do it well, and we want to help you be informed about that crazy thing known as online dating. Because, let’s face it, we’re all in this together.
Ultimately, we will consistently remind each other to use our singleness to focus on the building up of the Body of Christ and His Kingdom. We hope to be an additional tool that continually helps you resist the urge to live a disconnected life.
